How to use this tool

Formatting is only the first step

The tool changes keyword syntax and removes duplicates. It does not research demand, estimate bids or decide which match type will perform best. Group keywords by intent, choose a relevant landing page and review your search terms once traffic starts.

Match types are about meaning

Google’s matching systems use meaning as well as words. Exact match does not mean a literal character-for-character match, and phrase match is not just a fixed phrase in a query. Review the current platform definitions before choosing how much reach to allow.

A worked example

Pasting PPC consultant twice with duplicate removal enabled produces one keyword. Selecting exact match wraps it as [ppc consultant]. Existing outer brackets or quotation marks are replaced, rather than doubled.

Common questions

Can this validate every Google Ads keyword rule?

No. It is a formatter. Unusual punctuation is flagged for review, but Google Ads makes the final eligibility decision.

Can I use this for negative keywords?

It can format the brackets and quotes, but negative matching behaves differently from positive keyword matching. Check the negative keyword rules before importing a list.

Does it generate broad match modifiers?

No. It outputs current broad, phrase and exact syntax, without adding legacy plus-sign modifiers.
